Grinding and polishing are related to each other and are necessary if the grinding is insufficient and the marks from the parting plane could not be smoothed out by the grinding and polishing bodies. The goal of sanding is to remove unevenness, burrs, scratches using sanding belts and discs with different grain sizes to prepare the surface for further processes such as polishing or grinding.
Polishing follows on from grinding and serves to smooth the surface to a high gloss. We use various polishing pastes and textile polishing discs. Polishing removes fine micro grooves, grooves and gives the surface an aesthetic and professional appearance. In order to achieve top quality and a high galvanic shine, we polish the castings several times during the production process and therefore not only raw but also galvanically coppered and we repeat the process until the irregularities are completely removed.
Properly performed grinding and polishing increases the life of the material, improves its appearance and ensures a smooth and mirror-shiny surface.
